Professional contribution of Lidao Innovations’ founder to SIFA Financial Cooperation as a Grants Management and MERLA Expert, supporting a programme focused on skills development and youth employability in Africa.

The programme:

The Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) is an African Union initiative implemented by AUDA-NEPAD, with support from the German Government and the European Union through KfW.

Its Financial Cooperation component supports investments in vocational training to connect skills development with labour-market needs and strengthen young people’s pathways into employment.

A multinational portfolio:

SIFA operates in eight countries: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Togo and Tunisia. Its three funding windows support training infrastructure, partnerships with industry and innovative approaches to skills development.

Our connection to SIFA:

Piele N’Bou Lidao Betema, founder of Lidao Innovations, is listed within the SIFA team as a Grants Management Expert and MERLA Expert.

This professional experience connects the management of programme funding with monitoring, evaluation, reporting, learning and adaptation.

Contribution to grants management and MERLA within SIFA Financial Cooperation, combined with technical expertise in SmartME, the programme’s digital platform.
